ODF-Investment Advisor

Investment Advisor

Organic Development Finance (ODF) Fund

FOUNT B.V.

About the company

At FOUNT, we believe finance can change lives. Since 2013, we have been working side by side with entrepreneurs, farmers, and innovators across the globe to prove that investment can drive both sustainable growth and measurable impact. Our work spans Africa, Southeast Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Central and South America—always with a focus on building viable and scalable business models in developing markets.

We’re more than just an impact investment firm. We’re hands-on partners who roll up our sleeves to provide strategic advisory and fund management support that creates real, measurable change. Through our four dedicated fund initiatives—BIX Capital, Good Fashion Fund, Agri3 Fund, and ODF—we’re proving every day that doing good and doing well aren’t mutually exclusive.

About the role

Are you someone who wants to use finance as a force for good? Do you believe that your skills in structuring deals, analyzing opportunities, and building partnerships can change lives across the world? At ODF, you won’t just be managing investments—you’ll be helping thousands of farmers and their families build a sustainable future.

Picture this: A small organic coffee cooperative in Guatemala needs working capital to process their harvest before the export window closes. A regenerative cacao producer in Ghana requires equipment financing to expand their sustainable operations. A group of organic spice farmers in India needs bridge financing to meet a major buyer’s order. These aren’t just business opportunities—they’re chances to transform entire communities.

As our Investment Advisor, you’ll be the bridge between global capital and local entrepreneurs. You’ll work on transactions that enable organic and regenerative producers in Latin America, Africa, and beyond to access the funding they need to thrive. Each deal you close isn’t just about numbers on a balance sheet—it’s about hectares of land preserved, livelihoods strengthened, and communities empowered.

In 2024 alone, our fund enabled the sustainable cultivation of nearly 67,000 hectares of land and supported the livelihoods of almost 50,000 farmers and their families. Now, as we enter an exciting scaling phase with ambitious growth targets for 2026 and beyond, we need someone who can help us multiply that impact.

What you’ll be doing

Your days will be as varied as they are meaningful. One morning you might be conducting due diligence on a quinoa cooperative in Bolivia, while the afternoon finds you negotiating terms with a fair trade buyer in Europe who wants to secure their supply chain. You’ll travel to remote farming communities, sit with producers to understand their challenges, and then return to Amsterdam to craft financial solutions that work for everyone involved.

You’ll execute our investment strategy from origination to disbursement, managing the full investment cycle with the support of our dedicated team of analysts and impact experts. This means developing investment proposals, conducting due diligence, building relationships with buyer partners and traders, and ensuring every transaction aligns with our impact goals.

Your work will also contribute to our quarterly and annual reporting, helping us demonstrate to investors and stakeholders not just our financial returns, but the tangible difference we’re making in the world. You’ll help develop marketing materials that tell the stories behind our investments—because every loan has a human story worth sharing.

Who you are

You bring 3-5 years of experience in commercial or development banking, or an impact finance institution, with a particular focus on trade finance and working capital for agricultural producers in international markets. You understand the complexities of emerging markets and ideally have exposure to organic and regenerative agriculture.

Your academic background in Finance, Business, or Law provides the foundation, but it’s your passion for impact investing that sets you apart. You’ve likely already worked with environmental and social assessments, impact KPIs, and measurement frameworks—or you’re eager to dive deep into this world.

Most importantly, you’re someone who thrives in dynamic, changing environments. You have the self-starting, entrepreneurial mentality needed to succeed in our close-knit team. You’re fluent in English and Spanish or French, culturally sensitive, and genuinely excited about regular travel to the communities we serve.

What’s in it for you

This is your chance to join a strongly growing impact investment firm with an established reputation in the market. As our Investment Advisor, you’ll develop your career in impact investing through varied, dynamic, hands-on work that allows you to take ownership and provide leadership.

But more than career development, this role offers something deeper: the opportunity to see your work create tangible change in the world. You’ll visit the farms your financing helped expand, meet the families whose livelihoods improved because of your due diligence, and watch communities transform as sustainable agriculture takes root.

We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, and we especially encourage applications from women and individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in impact finance. We believe our team should reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
